Today I am working on our NEST.

Notice where my found birds nest ended up. It had the perfect little hole for tying it to my wreath.

Doing what?  I am painting our new bead board ceiling. I painted the wall yesterday and even though it took a while I did not mind it.

The ceiling however is a different story.  I’m hoping that when it is all done it will be kind of like having a baby.

Painful, but so worth it in the end!  I’m sure that like raising a child I will love it so much that I will forget about all the pain and frustration it gave me. lol!

Here’s a little peek.  The board on top of the bead board will have a shelf for displaying some of my treasures.  We also still need to put trim all around the ceiling.

I’m hangin in there, literally!  Would love to hear of any projects that you are working on to improve your nest!

Hugs,

Jann

I hate painting too, unless it's on a canvas! It will all be worth it in the end.

I just love your wreath. I'm going to 'pin' it so I can show my mom. She loves square wreaths like I do. I don't envy you with your ceiling painting. My neck hurts just thinking about it!

Your wreath is adorable. Good luck with painting that ceiling.

Paintings ceilings is awful. But better than childbirth. At least when you're painting, when it starts hurting, you can walk away from it and pick it up again when you feel like it. Try doing THAT while giving birth! ;o)

I love your style and visit often but don't get to comment as much as I want! The nest is darling on your wreath. So pretty.

Hi Jann,
Love the lime green eggs in your nest and the ribbon.
Your front door is gorgeous!!
I can't wait to see all of the bead board and the reveal. Keep up the good work...I hope you have a massage appointment for after.
All the Best,

You certainly are working hard. Ceilings are so difficult to paint.
I love your square wreath with the darling birdnest in the corner, so sweet! I love what it is hanging on, a door? Beautiful.
Thank you for sharing.

Jann, will you come paint my house? I am a terrible painter and do not really enjoy it. There are lots of things for you to do including touching up a ceiling we recently painted that has a couple of places to finish.

What? You mean I can't talk you into it? I was afraid of that!

Can't wait to see what all you do to your room, and the little nest wreath is cute! Thank you for sharing your work in progress at my party this week!

You are always so creative..me not so much! We recently repainted 2 of the kiddo's rooms. And just last week installed 2 new ceiling fans...does that count? LOL!! Right before the holidays we did a complete revamp of the pictures and such in the living room though..did new groupings and such and I haven't felt like touching anything since then!

I can imagine painting a bead board ceiling to be tasking - I need to tackle ours in the green room - someday. Love your wreath - very springlike and unusual! Thank you for sharing with A Return to Loveliness,
