Last June I attended a local garden tour. One particular garden was my favorite, Talk about eye candy around every corner. It said ‘WELCOME’ from the moment you arrived.
It was an older home with so much character.
As we walked around to the gardens we passed cozy vignettes.
Love that red side door!
She had an old outbuilding filled with wonderful treasures!
Her back yard was a blooming paradise! The arbor in the center lead to her cutting garden.
She had one plant that I have been yearning for ever since. The Foxtail Lily.
The Foxtail Lily is a majestic plant that is gorgeously statuesque. I remember having one, just one in my Highland garden that did not come back the second year. This garden had these beauties in so many wonderful colors! I have been wanting to order some for my garden. I am a bit slow because after looking on the computer I am finding that the color varieties are sold out. I guess I only get yellow this year. Do any of you have these lovlies in your garden? she had them in the numbers. Grouped together they made such a statement!
These next pics are of more of her wonderful blooms. She said that she hand waters it every day and it takes her hours. Well worth the effort don’t you think?
These are some of her fun garden treasures. I love all the white!
I think this was one of my favorites. I love how this little steppable plant is growing through this box. Perfect place for a faux bird to nest.
My sweet friend, Amanda knows the owner of this garden. She is a very generous lady that will share any start except her Foxtail lilies. Can’t say as I blame her.
Cottage gardening is my favorite. I can’t wait until my garden is full of lush blooms! I spent 6 hrs. in the garden yesterday. It excites me so much to see things popping up all around! It’s coming along well, nothing as fantastic as this, but sure hope I can get my hands on of a few of those Fox Tails!
Hope you enjoyed the tour!
Happy gardening,
Jann

I love garden tours! I am sorry I didn't make it to your Linky party. I will try to come to the next one! I have been busy here with some work going on outside. And that would have made the perfect post too!!! Darn!!
OHMYGOSH! WHAT a garden! It is spectacular. I have NEVER seen anything like that foxtail lily. She is the queen of that garden for sure. I hope to go on a couple of garden tours this year now that I am not working- xo Diana
This garden is so beautiful! I love big cottage or country gardens with a mix of everything and lots of things to look at. I have flower beds - just simple. I can't put the work or money into adding soil etc. to cover our rocky ledge. They still give me pleasure while I'm still able to do the work. Thanks for the tour. Pamela
Simply gorgeous! I like that box too :)
What a beautiful garden. Just found your blog. Love to have you stop by Simple & Sweet Fridays, you have great ideas. I'll try to join your linky party too.

Wow, beautiful. What a lovely garden. You caught it beautifully in pictures. Thank you for sharing xo
That lovely garden makes me want to get out and get my garden started. I will wait a little while just in case there is frost. This garden is filled with beauty and gives me some ideas to try here at home. Thanks, Jann.------- Shannon
WOW...what a beautiful and large garden!
This is definitely a paradise Jan. I enjoyed looking at each picture. So perfect for spring, but in my country it's picture perfect scene for summer. The red door, choices and arrangement of plans are do die for. I love this post.
What a beautiful garden. I love this style as well. Sounds like you had fun gardening! I hope your garden starts blooming soon!
Blessings,
Susie
There are so many stunning ideas to copy here! This garden is gorgeous and just the way I like it...a little wild, not overly thought out yet really amazing. Now I am going back to review the photos...you did such a wonderful job on this post!!
A lovely garden tour, so many beautiful flowers and wonderful ideas. Great post, I hope you have a Happy Week!
You are right ... what wonderful eye candy and some great ideas! Happy Spring!
All the photos are wonderful. That foxtail lily is something else! I dont think I have seen those around here. Happy Spring
Beautiful garden. I have grown the Foxtail lilies, bought them as babies and took two years before they bloomed. They only survived one year after that, the temperature of by Zone 4b garden in the winter was too cold for them. But, they were beautiful the year they did bloom.
Exquisite garden and she's created such a neat working area for herself. I don't think that I could spend that much time on a garden, though it certainly does look amazing.
Such a wonderful garden! I love garden tours! So many pretty plants and vignettes to look at! Thanks for sharing!

Oh, my! What a fantastic garden. I have a lovely garden space that suffers during the school year when I am working and turns into my summer haven when school is out. I am going to look back at this post for inspiration.
I love going on garden tours and seeing other peoples gardens. I get great inspiration from the things that grow. I have seen fox tail lilies growing around here but I have never tried them. V
First time visiting & will not be the last WOW!!!
I also invite you to visit my world too!!!
