Spring Green. . .

With today being the official ‘first day of Spring’, my thoughts have turned to green.  The color green is often associated with Spring.

For most of us, it’s when the earth comes alive again and green starts popping up everywhere.

These sweet dishes are one of my favorites that I love pulling out for Spring.  How cute is that little rosebud?  And now I even have a vintage green dish drainer to display them in.  Handy to grab for a quick breakfast or lunch.

Nearby are the matching mugs with one little thrift find bluebird mug.  Not being coffee drinkers, these rarely are used.  Still, too cute to keep hidden in a cupboard!

Little green eggs. . .a welcome sign of Spring.

A green apron hangs in the kitchen, in case I get in the mood to do a little ‘Spring cleaning’.

A swag of twigs and green blossoms hang on a chippy door in our entry.  To me it says, ‘welcome Spring’!

And this is my favorite Spring green of all!  Hubby fertilized our lawn a couple weeks ago and it’s starting to green up nicely.  Can’t wait to run barefoot through the grass!

Wishing you all a very happy and green Spring!

Happy Spring, Jann! I'm so jealous that you have lovely spring weather. Here in NE Ohio we're still way too cold & will be back in the 20s by Sunday. I have seen some robins...so maybe there is hope for spring eventually.

Hi Jann,
Love the green plates. Those are so pretty. We can actually see grass again too here in Chicagoland. It is suppose to be 60 tomorrow. Woooo Hooo! I am going to soak that up. In the 30 again after that and more snow. Ughhh! Winter just will not end here.
Have a great Friday and week end.

It's very nice to see green both inside and out at your house Jann. We are still very much white outside but I've decorated with green and yellow inside to pretend it's spring. :) Have a lovely weekend. I hope you get to run barefoot in the grass soon.

You have such a great collection of dishes and these are so pretty. I am jealous you can see grass and are fertilizing. We still have snow on the ground.

You must have a large area to store all the dishes you have! I love that they have little rosebuds, and the cup with the blue birds are adorable! I do not drink coffee but the cups are good for cocoa or even just a juice. The handles make them easy to hold. And sometimes I have a cup of soup in mine.

Loving your green, Jann!

In your never-used mugs? Make dessert! Trifle? Bake individual cobblers, crumb cakes, bread or banana puddings, etc.

Happy week to you from Guam,
Kelley~
