All of My Favorite Fabrics. . .

First of all, who goes shopping at Cracker Barrel when they are looking to buy a new bedspread?

The answer is, not me and I wasn’t.

A few weeks ago I was in Cracker Barrel with my sister when I spied a quilt made from all of my favorite fabrics.

Now mind you, I was not in the market for a new bedspread.  But how could I resist when it had all of my favorite fabrics and was priced less than I could ever begin to make it.

It had ticking. . .

checks. . .

and toile.

Priced at $120 for King I just couldn’t resist.

Notice my yellow wall?  The stripe in this fabric takes on the yellow color beautifully.  And now I get to add some of my new favorite color, aqua into the room.

I only bought one of the pillow shams because they were $30 ea.  I already had red euro shams so I thought one in the middle would be enough.  but guess what?  I’m taking it back.  I had this toile one and I like it better.

Any one who knows me knows what a pillow fetish I have. . .love em!  I already had all of these (plus more). lol!  Now just thinking I need a pop of yellow.  Guess what I remembered as I type?  I have a yellow chenille pillow with pom poms that went with my previous bedspread.  I also already had both the toile and pom pom throws at the bottom of the bed.

I like my canvas of poppies above the bed but thinking it needs a little something more.

Notice my tan doors and moldings?  That’s one of the things I don’t care for in my home.  I am going to ask the painter (for our basement) how much he would charge to paint them all white.  Way too many for me to want to tackle.

Here’s a few photos of the rest of the bedroom décor.

All of our clothes are in our walk in closet so this cabinet is more for storage decoration.

I made the burlap garland for Christmas a couple years ago.  Liked it so well that I left it up.

During the cold winter months my bedroom helps take me out to my garden.  I have floral canvas’s, poppies, and geraniums.

This way I can stop and smell the flowers. . .if only in my dreams.

Jann

Beautiful bed covering and pillows! Very pretty. Also love the 'Splish Splash' pillow on the bench... beautiful redwork and a fun way to bring the garden indoors.

Oh I do love that new bedspread! Great price, too. Your existing pillows look just fabulous with it. I love your mantel top decor. Your trim will really pop when the painter does his painting.

I love your bedroom decor. My home is painted in similar shades of yellow, and I love it. BM Mannequin Cream and Golden Straw to be precise. So many colours go with it. The red is perfect, and I agree, some robin's egg blue, or aqua, yum. I have to say that the painting above your bed looks unbalanced. It's difficult; you don't want something too heavy that is at risk of falling. Or maybe, you aren't in an earthquake zone. I always have to consider that here in Vancouver. Could you maybe add a frame to the canvas? {sigh} it's really all so pretty. Hope you can get your doors and frames repainted white.

Definately, you will love the white trim. That is a gorgeous bedspread. May I make a suggestion. I see you have a "wood" table on the right of the bed. With the 2 white items on the larger size. I would see if switching the white nightstand with the wood one...just a thought...the nightstand and the white flower basket are the same heigth...and what about just a larger empty frame around the picture over the bed....? That seems to be really popular and it would be bigger. Or, don't listen to me...it is your room and you should do what you want!!

Hi Jann,
Me too I love the quilt and I'm a big fan of a lot of pillow too. Hubby has to push them off every night before bed LOL.
All the fabric is so pretty and red and aqua go great together. I also love your yellow wall, I have shades of yellow through my home too and really like how it brightens up a room, even on a cold raining day like today. We are having rain and cold burrrr.
Have a sweet day, Elizabeth

I like ticking, toile and checks too. I have hunting and fishing in the master though. The only room that showcases my husband's collections. I will have to post it sometime.

I do love the quilt and cannot believe that you found it at Cracker Barrel! However, I know it is probably silly, but my favorite thing in the whole room is that plate with the geraniums on it. I love red geraniums and have some on my front porch every summer. They are the one thing in the summer that I could not live without - they always make me smile. Thanks for the peek at the new decorations!

Oh...Jann! You have struck my fancy with your beautiful new bedspread and all the pretty accessories.
I found the daintiest little rocking chair for $15. It desperately needs a pretty new covering. In my stash I have several of your same favorite fabrics...red and white toile, red and white ticking, red checked plaid and a few other accents. Thanks to your beautiful post...Now, I have decided just how I will recover it.
How I miss Cracker Barrel here in Oregon. When we lived in Tennessee I used to buy nearly all my Christmas gifts there.
Thanks so much for sharing and for the inspiration my darling friend.
Hugs,
Carolynn xoxo
