Every month Nancy at A Joyful Cottage features a specific theme for her Room in Every House Party. This month it’s every womans favorite place to ‘hang’ out, the laundry room. lol! Actually, I don’t mind doing laundry. Love that clean down home smell! I was hoping to get a new post ready. Even wanted to give my room a paint job, but it’s not going to happen. I’m being honest here. I have been stashing stuff in there lately and it needs a good dejunking. So I am sharing an old post. Maybe it’ll give me the push I need to get er done.
I realize that for a lot of you finding whites to share with Country Whites Weekend is no problem at all.
But for this color lovin gal it takes a bit of lookin around the hacienda to see what might be worth sharing.
Today I thought I would share with you my laundry room whites. Don’t worry, I won’t be showing any of my underwear. Notice I did say ‘my’. Got ya a little worried have I?
Here’s my handy dandy laundry basket. Maybe more cream than white, but go with me here. She’s right next to my dryer and is the perfect size for a load of folded laundry. Pick her up and take her to the closest to unload. She’s a doll!
And what would a laundry room be without a tin full of laundry soap?
A cotton nightie has come out of the dryer and hangs on an old piece of picket fence.
The tin bucket is the perfect place for me to stash my garden gloves. Once in a while some color jumps into my photos. I told them to stay hidden, but they don’t mind very well. My apron and vintage dustpan were begging for a photo shoot.
Right about now you’re thinkin, “that’s the underwear? Gee, that was nothin!”
But wait, there’s more.
Oh my! Cute little baby undies. How revealing is that? More color. Darn that vintage ironing board!
A couple of picnic baskets make great storage containers. The yellow one promised to only show her head.
And last of all, a different kind of white; WHITE King.
Just in case you didn’t know. . .The laundry room is loads of fun!
My embroidered kitchen towels agreed to come down and let a couple of Battenberg beauties take center stage.
So there you have it, my laundry room whites.
Here’s hoping you don’t have any dirty laundry!
hugs,
Jann

For a laundry room you sure make it look inviting. I love it. I have the same metal laundry soap tin but use liquid soap so it is just for decoration.
LOL! Happy Country Whites Weekend! Thank you kindly for embracing your country whites and sharing your laundry room at the party.
Farmhouse hugs,
Cindy
I didn't know that ironing board was vintage! The one I use everyday is just like it only yellow - I got it at my wedding shower 54 years ago. Guess I'm more vintage than I thought. LOL Sally
Love your laundry toom, Jann, with the whites and everything else. So fun. Great job!
I am so envious of your laundry room. Our washer and dryer are in the garage and share space with a car, bicycles, Steve's paintings that are not on display anywhere and sundry other items. It is not a "pretty place". I am working on it though.
Thanks for the inspiration. Maybe that will be my task for today.
Pretty. You make my laundry task today seem a little less like work! Maybe will spend some time making my laundry area a little prettier today too. Great and fun post.

Hi Jann, What a wonderful space for doing laundry. Makes one enjoy to be there. Love the basket and your whites.
Happy laundry days,
Hugs, Celestina Marie
Jann,
I just love your sign, "The Laundry Room: loads of fun". Very clever!
Linda
You have a great laundry room! Such a cute post. I love the " The Laundry Room, Loads of Fun" You know I'll have to steal that and make it with my Cricut!! Thanks!
Karen
Good morning Jann! I have a cotton nightie just like that! In fact, I have several. I like to wear that kind in the summer time, and I always get cotton!
Love that laundry basket.....oh my!!!
Hugs,
Kris
A very cute laundry room with the your country whites. The laundry basket is wonderful. Everything is so crisp and white.
Funny! I love your whites! Your handy dandy laundry basket is the best! Love it. Where did you get it - if you don't mind my asking? I like the white nightie, the drying rack (even though it's not white - I have lots of color in my world too!) and the other containers too. Nice laundry room.
Love your laundry room!! Mine is in an unfinished area of our basement. I've been trying to figure out how to make it a prettier place for me to do the laundry. Maybe I'll be able to share my laundry room some day.
hugs,
Cindy
You have a darling laundry room! Love that basket and the picket fence display. Very cheery!
I love your sweet whites in the laundry room. My laundry room needs a good makeover. Actually it neve got it's first "do" since we moved in. Guess I need to get busy one day soon here- xo Diana
AH I love laundry room posts
( I do laundry in the cellar )
But no complaints since it is a dry one and never floods or has damp ! :)
Still...I love all your little touches in yours ! Fun Post! :)
Your laundry room has some great vintage pieces and lovely whites. Wishing you a great weekend.
Jann,
Since this is a one on one swap, there is no limit! I just know it is going to be fun! Thank you for joining...LOVE all these whites! And I am a "color" girl...:)

Now that's what I call a pretty laundry room. Love all the whites and I can so relate to the color love. I have to have my blues and greens. The laundry basket is so pretty and functional and the little undies are adorable!

Hi there, Jann,
I love your sign..."The Laundry Room...lf fun." How cute! I am afraid my laundry room is sorely neglected. Yours is darling with so many personal, old fashioned touches.
As you know, I am a color girl, too. I cheat a little on posting photos with an itty bitty bit of white and the white police haven't come after me, yet. LOL!
Thanks for stopping by and commenting on my Valentine's post. I had so much fun. My darling hubby gave me my new polka dot tea pot and plates for Valentines.
Have a sweet weekend, dearie!
Blessings,
Carolynn xoxo
Jann, This is a laundry room I'd totally feel at home in! Thanks for joining Country Whites Weekend and inspiring others! You have lots of "Country Charm". . . .

I love your white laundry post! Like you, there is a lot of color around here! Wish my laundry room looked pretty like yours!

Love that LAUNDRY ROOM LOADS OF FUN. Did you paint that?
Amazing job! Love the room. Your accessories are fabulous!
You have a charming "mostly white" laundry room filled with fun vintage finds!
Jann,
I so envy those who have a laundry room!! I would have such fun decorating it and i love how you decorated yours!! My washer and dryer is in the Powder room.....
Hugs,
Deb
I have a Laundry box just like that, but we keep dog food in it. I came home the other day, and the big dog had learned to open the pantry door, and he and little dog had drug the entire box out, tipped it over, and had a big time!
Then they were sick.
Perhaps I should put laundry detergent back in it.

I love your laundry room.
Laundry is actually one chore I don't mind doing.
It's quick and smells good while the machine is doing ALL the work.

Hey Jann!
Guess what? Your laundry room was such a hit with everyone at Country Whites Weekend that you're being featured tomorrow!
Congratulations!
Dru
I missed this post. Must have been during the computer crash last week. I found it on Country Whites Weekend. I don't have too much white either. Probably because a look out my window about 6 months a year is spots three feet of white as far as the eye can see.
Thanks for sharing your laundry room at ERITH, Jann. I'll be featuring it tomorrow. It's wonderful. ~ xxx Nancy
