Open for Business. . .

YThe Candy Cane Kitchen and Bakery will soon be open for business.

The tablecloth (quilt) has been spread and the candy canes are out.

This establishment has a four star rating.  Sorry, but I just can’t quite do five.

What’s a girl to do when she only has four side chairs? Actually, I have a couple extra I can pull out if needs be for more company.

Vintage bells hang for a time,

hoping, hoping that they’ll soon  get to chime.

IMG_4370

Come on in, I’d love to whip something up for you!

IMG_4375

You know that a sweet treat just can’t be beat!

IMG_4394

Quite a few of these have been around for some time.  I can assure you that they only get better with age sublime.

IMG_4395IMG_4396

How about a spot of tea?

IMG_4382

One teapot won’t do?  How about two?

IMG_4373

The candy jars are filled to the brim.  Just waiting for someone sweet like you to come in!

IMG_4374

IMG_4389

IMG_4379

What? nothing sweet you say.  Well it just happens to be your lucky day.

We have plenty of, you know things that are green.  I’m sure that they will help keep you lean.

IMG_4376

The aprons are hung,

anxious and ready to serve someone!

IMG_4399

My rag stocking quilt will keep you warm.

IMG_4366

And enjoying a bit of Winter will do you no harm.

IMG_4387

If you drop in, we’ll grab a plate.

IMG_4402

So mark your calendar for an important date.

IMG_4403

IMG_4404

Dec. 1st will be the day.  I hope you’ll drop by for a bit of a stay!

IMG_4405

Till then, I’ll keep the candle burning.  Well, probably not; I’d hate to start a fire. lol!

IMG_4385

Sure hope you’re feeling a bit of a yearning!

Merry Christmas season!

If candy canes were still 5 cents, I would be a blimp!

A DAY WITHOUT SCARLET

A day without scarlet, they say,
Can color the soul ashen-grey;
For if there’s no red,
The soul feels half-dead,
And has no incentive to play.
