Christmas in the Living Room. . .

For the copycat link party I showed my ‘candy chandy’ that I decorated for my living room.

From there you got a glimpse of my ‘candy tree’.

Now I would like to show you more. Warning, I think I gain 10 pounds every time I enter this room.

This tree is the delight of children young and old. It’s decorated with gingerbread houses and men, peppermint balls, cupcakes, star cookies, and gumdrops,

This garland hangs above the French doors leading into this land of sweets.

Gingerbread and gumdrop houses.  Two of which light up. A few little treats and my sweet little girl I made years ago.

Now we enter ‘Candyland’.

What’s a candy tree without some real candy?  For the tree skirt, I bought a premade red felt one and stitched the words “Sugar and Spice and Everything Nice.”  If you ask me, that’s what Christmas is made of!

IMG_4490

Only problem is, some of the candy I save from year to year.  I don’t think 5 year old hard tack will kill ya, do you? lol!

I have so much fun decorating with candy every Christmas.

Can’t imagine why I can never lose weight. hee-hee!

Oh well, in the famous words of Miss Scarlet, “I’ll worry about that tomorrow”

Here’s wishing you a very Merry and SWEET Christmas!

Old candy? The best kind, then it doesn't get eaten. I used to save candy for math counters at school and the kids loved to work with it.

EVERYTHING is so cute! I need to get busier, do you think they'd miss me at school this week?♥♫

Your "candy tree" and decorations are wonderful, and there's nothing like a gingerbread house at Christnas time.

Hi Jann-

Sorry it's taken me a few days to comment. The last few days have been crazy, but I wanted to thank you for linking up to my gingerbread party.

Your tree is beautiful and you cracked me up about the 5 year old candy. My bet is in my house, someone wold have cracked that open long before now, so you must serve a lot of goodies so your friends and family don't need candy. I think I should come to your house!

OMG Jann, I love your tree, especially! I love your candy theme, too. I'm trying desperately to get my "toy" theme going, but as you know I've been dealing with a lot this past year with my mother. I've not forgotten that you want a button made, and I swear I'm working on it, so please be patient with me. Thank you so much for sharing your holiday home, it certainly cheered me up!

Big Hugs,
Meri
