Something Old…Something New

Don’t you love it when you buy something ‘OLD’ and then you realize that you have something ‘NEW’ that looks like it was made to go with it?

That was the case when I started decorating my table for Valentines Day.

Remember these vintage bubble dishes I bought just a couple of weeks ago?

After adding a bow to my antique shopping basket and placing them on the middle of the table I remembered that I had this.

A reproduction hobnail pitcher.

Don’t they look cute together?

Keeping with the theme, my table décor is a mixture of ‘OLD’ and ‘NEW’

I love this little iron ‘V’ for Valentines Day trivet.  It originally was on the marquee of a theatre in Payson, UT.

The dishes are set buffet style.  Ready for you to grab.

Some sugar for you, Sugar!  The sentiment reads:  I am a sucker 4 your love!

I made this quilt table topper about 5 years ago.  I love the scallop border and rick rack.

It goes well with my Vintage Valentine dishes.

There are certain holidays that I love my gingham check end chairs.

Valentines Day is definitely one of them.

Well there you have it, my Valentines Day table.  Hope you enjoy it as much as I do!

No, because we will be going off-island the day after. However, I have begun some Valentine's crafting and making some handmade cards that I must get into the mail early if I want them to arrive on the US mainland before Valentine's Day! I'll be sharing on kelleyhighway.blogspot.com/ for sure!

Yes, I have started to put a few things out for Valentines Day. Mostly old vintage cards and heart boxes I've collected. Nothing as pretty as your Valentines dishes. I love those! Pretty vignette using the quilt topper. Adorable…….

Love is all around at your house! I will be up to see it. Love it all and you too! Oh and could you whip me up some heart shaped sugar cookies to put on one of those darling plates? Yum!

I love your Valentine dishes. I haven't even begun to think about decorating for Valentine's Day. I just found some more of my snowman decor today when I was cleaning out a closet. Don't you hate it when that happens? I guess I'll leave the snow stuff out one more week, then hunt for my red stuff. Somewhere in there I want to do a tablescape for Mardi Gras. I hope all that happens. hehehe

Hey Jann..just me again. Thanks for stopping by. You said you come to Columbus...there is a great antique mall.....Heritage Square....on
Channingway Center Blvd. between RT40 and I70. We go there often, it's only 2 hrs away and between there and Cincinnati also on I70 is the Heart of it All Antique Mall and it's bigger than Heritage!! It's only and hour away.
Just thought if you come back during the year they'd be places to stop. They both have websites.

Jann, your Valentine's table is just the cutest! The basket of red bubble glass is perfect for the Valentine theme. Everything looks very special. Put me in your will ( that's what my aunt always says ) for the red hobnail piece. I have some white hobnail but that red is gorgeous. Thanks dear friend, for coming to my party again. You are so sweet. ------

Not yet, but hopefully in the next few days or so. One of the things I'll be pulling out is the vintage valentine platter that you showed! I found mine at Target and loved it as soon as I found it. Your red glass is so pretty and perfect for Valentine's Day.
