On The Oregon Trail. . .

Hi friends, just wanted to show you what the ‘fab four’ has been up to the last couple of days.

In case you don’t know what I am talking about, visit here: Girls Just Wanna Have Fun

We have been traveling through Oregon and loving every minute of it.

We left Ontario and headed towards Sisters.  My blog friend, Carolynn from Chenille Cottage told us about a darling quilt shop in the town of Bend, Sew Many Quilts.  Talk about our kind of quilt store!

This is just a few of the many wonderful quilts they had on display.

We met two ladies in the quilt shop that told us about the “Old Mill District”

Look at these gorgeous Delphiniums that were all around the outskirts.

Ann and I had to pose here because both of our hubbies names are Greg.

We watched as residence of Bend floated the river to beat the over 100 degree weather.

We arrived in the town of Sisters at 5:05 only to find that the town shops closed up at 5. One nice man let us come into his antique store and made us feel that we didn’t need to hurry so he could close the doors.  I found a cute rustic wooden table painted a wonderful green color.  I’ll show it in a later post.

We also visited their local quilt shop.  Didn’t get any pics of it.  This Saturday they are having their annual quilt show.  They line the streets with quilts.  How fun would it be to see that?  We had reservations at a resort in Welch’s so we had to move on.  Maybe someday I will come back.  I would love to see it.

Hope you come back to see what other fun we’ve been having.

Because I am out of town I have not had time to visit last weeks links for Share Your Cup.  There will be no Share Your Cup this week and I will do features next week.  Thanks so much and I hope you will come back and share!

I’m sorry that I am late telling you this, but I have had one heck of a time getting connected to the internet here at my resort.

Hugs,

Jann

Obviously there can be no crime in a town that lines its street with quilts. I wish I were there.

OH, Jann...I just knew there was a reason I couldn't sleep!! Here it is around 4 am (my cat is snoring away beneath my feet) and I just found your wonderful post! I am so thrilled that you visited "Sew Many Quilts"! The ladies are some of the dearest! I wouldn't be surprised it we saw each other in passing...I was in the Old Mill District, too! My husband works in a tall building overlooking the river and I had gone by his office.
Thanks so much for sharing, my sweet friend. You have been on my mind.
Be safe and have a ton of fun with your darling gal pals!
Hugs from Bend,
Carolynn

Oh, your having so much fun!!! Once a year I'm blessed to get away with girlfriends or sis for a long weekend. I've been there when the shops are closed early, so dissapointing. Glad you were able to see the antique store! Enjoy your trip, sounds like a dream!

Glad you made it to your resort. We were just in So. Oregon last week. It was only in the 80s so I guess we missed the heat. Have a great time.

Jann,

I absolutely love Bend. I hope you made it to the Desert Botanical Garden. It is wonderful. I see you made it to quilt shops in Bend and Sisters. I have not been to the one in Bend, but I love the one in Sisters. We have a great one here in Salem, too - Quilted Forest....so if you ever make it here.
