Fall Out in the Entry. . .

Hi everyone.  Last week I was showing you my Fall décor one room at a time.  Well, guess who became a bit of a slacker and didn’t quite finish posting before the week was over?

Yup, that would be me!  Mom always said that if a jobs worth doing it’s worth doing well.  Since I started it I must follow through with my last room.  Really, not a room but more like an area.

The Entry.  Some of my favorite vintage items live here.  An old pillar, rocking chair, door, and blue cabinet.

When I started sharing my Fall decor I couldn’t decide whether to start or end with the entry.  After all, you want your entry to say, “Welcome”.  However, I also want mine to say, “Ya’ll come back now , ya hear!”“

My cabinet is always so fun to decorate.

It’s filled with stitcheries, scarecrows, and pumpkins.

This old chair has a needlepoint seat.  Sorry to say that you rarely see it because I always have it draped with a quilt.

Fall is the time to pick yer punkin so you’ll be ready for Halloween carving.

More quilts draped on a small ladder.  My sunflower picture is perfect for Fall. don’t you think?

This old window frame hangs from my entry light.  Come Halloween it will have fun things hanging down.  For Fall it just gets a garland.

I hope all of you are enjoying cooler Fall weather.  It has been gorgeous here lately.

I have an old beat up ladder from a bunk bed that I have hanging in our entry way that gets garland, and pumpkins and then fall leaves and moves on to tinsel and twinkle lights for Christmas and then hearts for V-day. Ha. I loved your door and the pillar...gorgeous!

I wish I had some Fall-looking quilts to display, but I was never one to include any orange in them. But, thanks for the inspiration -- I think I'll dig and see if I can find a quilt or two with KIND of a Fall look. Sally
