Coaxing Spring!

Recently we experienced beautiful Spring weather.  But lately Mother Nature has decided that she wasn’t quite ready to hang around.

If I glance out the window it looks so sunny and Spring like, but walk outside and it’s a different story.

The wind has been blowing and there is a chill in the air.  It has even sprinkled a bit of snow from time to time.

I decided that If I wanted Spring to hang around that maybe I needed to do a little coaxing.

I have had the kit to make this banner for a while.  Kraft paper pennants, assorted paper punched flowers, bakers twine, and a few rhinestones…Welcome Spring!

This wooden Spring word had become faded.  It really didn’t say welcome.

A little Mod Podge and glitter. . .

Welcome Spring!

While I was at it I added my stained glass butterfly that my friend, Joyce gave me for my birthday last year.

And a few Spring posies.

What do you think Mother Nature?  Ready to come back?

Jann

This year we need all the faux spring we can get! Thankfully, I won your Spring montage. Temps hit the 80's here today but we have the chance of snow on the weekend. Crazy weather!

Oh, I know what you mean about the weather! We've lived in the Chicago area for almost 11 years and this is the first April where snow has fallen! And now the torrential rains! Yikes! So glad I found your blog and look forward to seeing all the touches you make to your home! I am now your newest follower! If you have a moment I would love for you to drop on by mine.. sit a spell and I'll make us some tea to sip while we get to know each other!!!

I love your spring banner and I hope spring will hear us... Because here we're back to cold temperatures and the wind is getting on my nerves.

Hi Jann,

I love how you transformed your Spring with Mod Podge and glitter. Maddie has a letter M that she would like to try that with. Can you give us a little walk thru on how you did yours? We are Mod Podge newbies.

Have a great weekend,

Erica

Jann,
Your spring banner and wreath are delightful. I used to have a wreath on my front door many years ago, and I really miss it. I will have to be creative and make myself another one.

Have a lovely Sunday.
