I’m in the (Midnight Mood) for love. . .

Yesterday I headed to the post office to mail packages for the two Valentine Swaps that I had joined.  While I was down town I decided to hit our local thrift.

I found the prettiest service for 4 dishes by Royal Prestige.  I smiled when I read the name ‘Midnight Moon’.

Perfect for these beauties with the midnight border filled with dainty flowers.

It prompted me to do something that I have been thinking about for a while.  To open an etsy shop.  I loved these sweet things, but I don’t have a lot of pink in my home.

But before I listed them I had to play a while.  It’s not often I get a chance to join the teatime parties.

Working on etsy so no homemade goodies today.  Just a simple ginger twist herbal tea and a store bought cookie.

This quote on the back of the tea bag will make all of you tea lovers smile.

I do have a pretty teapot and sugar bowl to go with this ginger tea.  Pink and white roses and carnations to match the ‘Midnight Mood’ setting.

I just hope they don’t have me wanting to traipse into the kitchen at midnight for a spot of tea. lol!

I placed them on my red chargers with the beaded edge.  It made the darker shade in the roses pop.  Notice the pretty embroidered napkin?

I pulled from some of my Valentine vignettes to decorate the center of the table.  My pink gazing ball was the perfect shade of pink.

I found these dishes in the collectors case so they were a little more pricey.  I really didn’t know much about them, just thought they were so pretty.  When I came home and googled them I found that just a cup and saucer was selling for $15 on ebay.  Wouldn’t they be a wonderful Valentines Day gift?

We’ll see how this etsy goes.  I love the hunt for vintage items, but I just can’t keep them all.  I thought it would be a fun way to share my finds!

I’d love if you checked out my new shop on my sidebar!  I have more items to list.  Just gotta get better at taking pictures.

hugs,

Jann

I am so excited for you to sell on Etsy! I have been selling vintage on Etsy for 2 years and I am thoroughly addicted! I started it because I just love thrifting and buying but I don't need any of it! So now, it is all mine, but I get to share it with the world through my shop. Many blessings to you on your new shop! Going to check it out now!

Sweet finds. I stopped at a thrift shop the other day to drop off some things and to my surprise can home with 6 new plates that matched others I have. I'm not usually that lucky. Good lunch with Etsy.

I love it all and I mean ALL! My kind of thrift store shopper. The dishes are so pretty but that Tea pot really caught my eye. I have one somewhat like that one. Wish I had one of those cookies right about now to go with my coffee! Hugs and blessings, Cindy

very pretty china and the colors are so unique. Your centerpiece got my eye with the paper flowers. Did you make this? Wish you'd tell us more about it. Looks like something that would be pretty and fun to make.

Thanks for the kind comments on my blog. I checked out your blog because the Mrs. Olson commercials made me laugh when I was a kid. Both of my parents are from Sweden and have strong accents even though they have been in the US way longer than in Sweden. Thanks for following too.

I checked out your shop Jann and wish you all good luck with it. My sister has an Etsy shop and has really enjoyed it. What fun to do all the shopping you like and have a place to pass the treasures on to others!

Such beautiful dishes Jann! It's so fun to find a treasure like them at a thrift store or flea market. But I know what you mean about not being able to keep everything. That's why I started an Etsy and Marie has an Etsy shop also. I've inherited so many things now that I've kept the cream of the crop and let go of the rest either to family, dear friends or my Etsy shop.

It's a great way to pass the beauty on to others to appreciate. I always include any personal stories about a piece I sell, if there is a story. Customers love that bit of knowledge!

Blessings & best wishes on your ETSY!! Edie Marie, going to visit your shop now
