Bringing in the Sheath. . .

Fall. . .
Time to harvest. . .
Time to bundle. . .
Time for bringing in the sheath. . .

Cooler temps prompted me to start bundling my wheat.  I bundled my drinking glasses under a cloche.

My juice glasses are bundled in a red wire basket.  A $4 bargain from the Kneaders sale.  A local restaurant that clears out old décor every Fall.

My collection of wheat dishes has evolved over the last 5 years.  I am always so excited when I run across another piece!
Love them on my hand crochet cloth.  What a wonderful estate sale find!
From what I understand, they use to come free in detergent.  How fun is that?  Wish they still did that sort of thing.
I think that they are calling out to me to make some whole wheat pancakes for breakfast this weekend.
hugs,
Jann
p.s.  I want to thank Kathryn from The Dedicated House for featuring my

Great collection, Jann. My Mom had several of those wheat dishes. I don't remember if she got them at the A&P piece by piece or if they came packed inside a box of something.

What a fun collection to own and perfect for this time of year- xo Diana

Love all of your wheat items.

I am so sorry that I haven't said thank you yet for my really great gift. It is sitting on my nightstand in my beachy themed bedroom.

Life is chaotic here and should settle down tomorrow. I will be doing a blog post about your gift and several others I have received from sweet bloggers.

Hi, Jann!

I love your sheaves (singular, sheaf)!

I have always wanted these dishes; they are so perfect for this time of the year, aren't they? I especially love the creamy golden yellow on the dishes! That is my favorite part!

Would you be able to pair silverware with them, or would they have to be gold?

Thanks for sharing these! What sweet finds!

Hugs and happy highways,
Kelley~

How pretty, Jann!
I have some of those juice glasses! Wonderful to know their history!

I sure wish I would have picked some wheat when I lived on the wheat farm...

I've seen this beautiful set before and it is perfect for Fall.
I didn't realise that they came in soap. Why can't they do that now I want to know?

I love your wheat sheath dishes and glassware. How perfect for Fall. I have a casserole dish that was my mother's and I think it's the same wheat sheath pattern. It's white (looks like milk glass) and the wheat sheaths are two and two with their stems facing each other. I use it a lot. :) I hope you have a nice weekend.

I probably wouldn't have looked twice at the dishes, but when I see them all together on your table, they look so pretty! The perfect fall tablescape!

I'm playing catch-up. Funny I just mentioned wheat dishes in my last comment to you. My Gram's were a little different than these though.

We're going into the 40's tonight - nice!
