Still Putting on a Show. . .

The perennials in my garden are slowly coming to an end, but my annual containers continue to put on a show.

This morning we awoke to frost on the lawn.  Made me realize how quickly these beauties will be gone.

I grabbed my camera this afternoon and headed out for one last photo shoot before it’s too late.

The teapot on the lower rung is so full that you can’t even see the pot.

Don’t you love my little rusty truck?

I ended up with mostly peach colored Begonias this year, but they have been gorgeous!

I pinched back the Petunias and Lavender in this bathtub and the greenery literally took over.

My little rose tree still has a few blooms hanging on.

I’ve pulled a lot of the Lobelia out of planters because it was looking seedy.

But the Petunias and Geraniums were still pretty and I didn’t have the heart to pull them out yet.

I have four large annual pots that are overflowing.

The fairy garden in the wheelbarrow is so full that it’s hard to find a fairy.  Can you see the buried arbor?

Oh look, there’s one!

I have just a few pretty roses.

Oh how I am going to miss these show stoppers!

Oh my goodness, it is still so pretty at your house. I still have lots of blooms on my roses and zinnias but most things are pooping out. It's probably from the drought as much as anything. It was a beautiful summer though. :)

You must have a green thumb Jann. Your yard is still looking fabulous. I usually get tired of taking care of things by this time of the year and it just kind of fades away. LOL! Thanks for sharing,
Patti

You are so lucky to have such beautiful flowers blooming. My garden was so pretty in March and April, but then it was down hill. With the drought everything was having a hard time. Lost some roses and a lot of my perennials. Plus my gardener divorced his wife and I ended up with her and she did a terrible job. I now have the husband and when he came and looked at my yard he just shook his head. He said give me some time and I will have it beautiful again. So I have lost all interest in the yard, plus it's just to darn hot outside. 102 today and hotter tomorrow.
The only thing good was I went Christmas decoration looking and WOW. Stop by my post and take a peak. I tried to link up but my computer is on the fritz and i need a new. So I could not link up with any parties.
Have a great weekend Jann and enjoy your lovely flowers.

Hello Jann, I really enjoyed seeing your flowers, it is like they saved their best for last! It is so sad to see summer flowers and fruits go by so fast!
But we can always look forward to the future will bring us a new thing!

Everything looks beautiful! Have you ever tried to "winter-over" your geraniums, wandering Jew, and sw potato vines? They all do really well as long as you cut them back a bit before bringing them in. I have some that are over 5 years old now. Just a thought!!

You have the BEST containers planted!!! I adore the little rusty truck and all the unexpected things you have planted in. They all look so beautiful! I'm so glad you went out and took these photos to show us and to have for yourself when the long winter months come and you need a reminder of summer.
