A Beautiful Fall Day in the Canyon

Hello my friends,
just down the road and to the East of us is the beautiful American Fork Canyon.

We love going up there, but on the weekends it is so busy.

Why not go during the week?
One of the benefits of hubby being retired!

The news has said that our fall will not be as colorful as usual.
I think they are right, but it's still quite stunning!

I'll let the photos do most of the talking.  :)

The reds and oranges are not as brilliant as usual, but the golds are gorgeous!

We got out of the car now and then and wandered a little off the beaten path.

We headed down to Cascade Springs and walked the loop.

Leaves on the trail=love!!

I literally had to play with a few.  (wink)

Cascade Springs is a natural spring with trails and bridges.

I never grow tired of it, no matter the season!

On our way back to our car we spied a little Halloween caterpillar.

I hope you enjoyed a peek at our day in the canyon!

hugs,

Beautiful!! We haven't made a short trip into our hills yet this year -- need to do that. Not sure we have the reds that you do, however. Thanks for sharing.

Jann, I think it's beautiful there. I so remember the aspens when I was in Utah for my grandson's wedding 2014. I loved how they looked. What a cute wooly worm. Blessings, xoxo, Susie

What a beautiful place in which to soak up all that Fall loveliness. The little Halloween Caterpillar is cute; I have never seen one. Love the bridge over the river. Oh yes, one must always play with fallen leaves. =) Thank you for sharing all your Fall beauty with us.♥
