Two of My Favorite Little Christmas Things. . .

Hello my friends,

I absolutely love everything about this time of year. . .the hustle, the bustle, the decorations, and sparkle!

Although I seem to be moving a lot slower than usual, I am doing my best to keep up and enjoy the magic of this season.  :)

Many of you know that I love collecting vintage items.  I corralled  two of my favorite little Christmas things together in my tiered tray.

A dear friend gifted me this tiered tray for my birthday about 5 year ago.  I always have so much fun styling it for every holiday and season!

I haven't pulled out hardly any of my Christmas boxes this year, but when I ran across some of my vintage deer I decided that I'd create a forest for them with my bottle brush trees in the tray.

Half the fun is the building. . .and watching it all come together.
I made quite a few bleached bottle brush trees a few years ago and I love them and use them often.  My sweet friend, Joanne helped me with my first ones.

I didn't notice until after I took this pic that one of the trees had timbered.  Oh well, that's how it is in a real forest.

Do you want to meet my herd?

These two S&P cuties were bought at Walmart a few years ago.

The two white plastic ones once belonged to my Aunt Viola.  My cousin, Betty gifted them to me.

Bottle brush trees in all colors are tucked in here and there.

This sweet couple were a thrift store find.  I love their faces!

Another thing I love is vintage Shiny Brites!  I added just a few for sparkle and bling.

Last year my friend, Kimi picked us up a blue and a brown deer for half price at her daughters cute store, Retro Betty's.

Wander in a forest and you're sure to find a fairy or two.  (wink)

Look at the eyes on this sweet pea!!

My sweet friend, Karen gifted me gorgeous Amaryllis bulbs.  She tucked this cute pink dear from Target in amongst them.  I have 4 others from Target, but haven't pulled that box out.  They are amongst my favorites!

I bought three of these darling Gurley deer candles from my blog friend, Ann Marie last year.

Assorted plastic deer fill in the spaces.

This darling red deer is an ornament gifted to me by my dear friend, Joanne.  It stole my heart!!

If you hang around vintage deer and bottle brush trees for long, they work their way into your heart!

I hope you enjoyed seeing two of my favorite little Christmas things!

This last picture is from last year.  It shows how I filled the tray.  It's always so fun!!

hugs,

Oh Jann, I always enjoy seeing your fun sweet creations! And this one is no exception! The herd is way too cute, and displayed perfect in the tiered tray! I had a Viola in my family as well. My great grandma, never met her though but have photos of her.
So glad you are doing well. Wishing you a blessed Christmas and may the New Year bring you renewed strength and further healing!
xoxo,
Gina

Wonderful Jann. Two of the brown plastic deer look familiar. I believe my mom had them. I'm a bottle brush lover. Your collection is amazing.

Happy Christmastime to you, Jann!
Saw your cute tabletop photo on my G+ feed {thank you!} and had to come right over! Sooo cute with all your bottlebrush trees and the sweet reindeer. I have several reindeer that I have collected over the years and two I found last winter at Cracker Barrel. This year I found a small tealight candleholder reindeer at an antique shop and I am sooo glad I picked it up even if it was a tad expensive ($15.00). It is happily sitting on our coffee table smiling at me when I sit down in the evenings to read or watch t.v.

Thank you for your fun decorated tray tour! Pinned several photos for you. <3
Hugs and Christmas blessings,
Barb :)

Wow! I love last year's AND this year's decorations, Jann. I have a "thing" for bottle brush trees, too, and have made every color (just about) in the rainbow. Love what you did with those and your deer...

It's great to hear you're having so much fun this season, Jann. I love, love, love all those sweet deer. We used to have a bunch when I was little and I used to play with them to my mother's dismay. She was a great sport about it though. So many memories! Merry Christmas!
