Putting on the GLITZ!

This year I have really went for the bling with my Halloween décor.

It wasn’t a planned thing, just sort of happened.

Thought I would share my ‘glitzy’ mantel with you.

I love using old windows in my décor.  I have a smaller one I usually use on the mantel.  The other day I remembered that I had bought this transom window quite a while ago.  Hoping to someday use it as you enter into our future theater room.  Decided to see if it would fit.  I had no idea that the back side was painted black.  Meant to be kind of thing.

I Mod Podged a newspaper banner to the top of it.  Also love using newspaper.

Now you see where my ‘blingy’ pumpkins ended up.

It’s hard to tell but the tree and house are both glitzy.

I liked this pic of the house because it looks like there’s a light in the windows.  No, it doesn’t light up.  I think it must be haunted! (imagine eerie Halloween music playing in the background)

No Halloween haven would be complete without a few ghosties flying near by.

They seem to be quite happy coming out of my orange bottle filled with coffee beans.  Guess that’s where they get their ‘high’.  I know, I know, I’m so funny.

A raven…

A glitzy moon and star garland…

A sparkly wreath…

A few items on the hearth…

Voila, we’re ready to invite little goblins in to warm themselves by the fire. I hope their not afraid of ‘Bling”!

Hi Jann,

I love it, the little house is so sweet! The garland is a very nice touch too for Halloween!
Your glitz pumpkins look great up there. Your mantel itself is stunning, love the wood and the details...I knew that wool sunflower pin cushion would catch your eye. I put it there just for you to see! I bought it years ago at a craft show. But you are clever girl!! I think you could make it on your own. I will take some close up photos and make a pattern for you! You will be able to do it yourself...
Have a great weekend!
All the Best,
Christine

Hello! In my country, halloween is not really a big deal event. We don't decorate our homes. Very seldom you see houses who took time to decorate. Good thing I have you because I can have a glimpse of what was it like to live in a place with elegant halloween decors.
