Bunny Kept us Hopping!

Last week I went on a  three day quilt retreat in Huntington, UT. About 2 hrs. from where I live.

My friend, Dolly has hosted this get away for three years.  It is so much fun and we come home with armloads of goodies.

Dolly’s Aunt Bunny is a yard sale guru and hits them every Friday and Saturday.  Needless to say, she has treasures galore.

On Thursday she spread a garage sale feast out on Dolly’s lawn.  It was the ultimate shopping experience.

We all lined up and at Dolly’s “GO” we took off like we were going to the races.  Now, I’ve hurt my knee and am walking with a limp as of late.  Did it slow this girl down?  Nope, hey, I could hop on one leg if I had to. lol!  I’m sure it was a pretty hilarious sight, but then who’s looking?

Each of us got to pick one item.  Then from there it was just basically, “don’t forget to share” rules.  We all have different taste so it seems to work out great.

Look at what I got.

My first choice was the short green pitcher.  I thought it had a unique shape and I loved the color.  I tried to resist the bowls because I really didn’t need them.  How could I pass up such fun colors for $15 for all three.  I paid $15 at an estate sale for just one the size of the large.

I don’t know where this darling thing came from.  I swear it was not out there in the beginning.  At least I didn’t see it.  If I had it would have been my first choice.

The sweet little bird stole my heart.  It had no lid, but no worries.  So cute filled with birdseed.

I placed it on my front porch table.  Wonder if any birdie will be daring enough to venture that close to my front door?

Friday morning Bunny did her usual yard sale thing.  Dolly announced that she would be bringing by a few more treasures later on that night.

I scored two more goodies.

A cute little chippy shabby pink rocker perfect for the little grandies.

And an unusually tall chicken feeder.  I have big plans for this baby.  I will share with you when it is complete.  I think that my cement chicken has her eyes on it.  She’s probably wondering, “Where’s the feed?”

So what do you think of my Bunny Buys?  Pretty fun don’t you agree?

Great finds! I can't wait to see what you do with the chicken feeder. I have one just like it--stored in a shed. Maybe I'll get it out and follow your lead?
Thanks for sharing. . .

I like your porch display! Do you get squirrels and chipmunks? They would not be shy getting to the seed!

I think you did GREAT! What a fun thing to do! I love that you got to take turns picking something out! lol You did good. That little compote with the bird would have been MY first choice, too.

Hope you have a wonderful night- xo Diana

Well this city girl never would have know what a chicken feeder is. I like it though.
I have lots of galvanized pieces in the yard, I will have to keep an eye out for those now that I know what they are.

Sounds like you had a great retreat! My Mom has had birds perch on her front door wreath -- I am certain you will have some visitors to the treats included in your porch vignette.

Ilove garage sales! But I don't really NEED anything..lol I am anxious to see what you do with the chick feeder, maybe a larg bird feeder after you figure out how to keep the water out? Visiting from Vintage Thursday, hope you can come by. Blessings, Debbie

This sounds like it would be so much fun! Sorry you're having to hobble on a cain but looks like you did good!
The Pyrex looks great! I had a set when I first got married many moons ago and just don't know what happened to it! Love that sweet casserole and I'm sure a little birdie will fill so special to eat from it.
Be a sweetie,
Shelia ;)

Oh, that ROCKER just captures my heart! I'm just a pushover for pale pink furniture.

Hope your knee's better---I've had one of those, and remember limping into the hospital on a cane to meet our new Grand. Now she's four, and we get up a fast game of soccer when she's here.
