Looking Back in the Garden

Last night I was going through my photo folders and deleting ones that I had already used in a post.  You know, cleaning up my laptop.

I came across one of flowers blooming in the garden in June that I had never shared.

The last couple of weeks I have spent lots of time cutting these flowers back since they have already put on a show.

The fun of having perennials in your garden is that it is forever changing.

These blooms have now made way to Hollyhocks, Veronica, Coneflowers, Daisies, Yarrow, and others.

To everything there is a season.

Take time to enjoy each and every one!

hugs,

Jann

You take such beautiful photos of your flowers...you definitely have a knack for both photography and gardening. I enjoy my friends' gardens vicariously...my knees won't let me kneel and my back protests too much for me to compensate by bending over. Our gardens are gradually becoming low maintenance...lol!

Very pretty! I am getting ready to plant a perennial garden at our new house. Seeing the blooms on flowers I weren't quite familiar with gives me even more ideas! Love your flower pics!

Love it Jann! I'm not familiar with Sweet Rockets- looks like a hearty plant. I have a bit of bellflower blooming out back by the woods all by it's lonesome! I should get some poppies planted in one of my beds- they are always so cheerful to see!

Jann, you have one of the most beautiful gardens. I could spend hours there just taking in all the pretties. I need to do some purging in my pictures as well. Always something to do. Cathy

I never get tired of looking at photos of your lovely yard! I wish I could get poppies to grow. Year after year, I try--this year I planted TWO varieties--never had any luck.
Maybe next year. :). -Fran

What a very beautiful garden. I love it when several things bloom at once. I do not seem able to achieve that. I keep trying but no joy.
