Mug Rug and a Hug

Hello my friends, have you ever heard of a mug rug?
It's a cute little mat, smaller than a place mat used to hold your teacup or mug and a small treat.

About a month ago Kimberly from
Camp and Cottage Living contacted me
and asked if I would be interested in joining
a 'mug rug exchange'.

Of course, I jumped on it.  I was partnered up with Stephanie from
The Enchanting RoseShe is so talented and I knew that my mug rug would be fabulous!

When my package arrived, it certainly did not disappoint!

A gorgeous lace tree with bling on top. I also love all of the pretties sewn into the edges!

And look at the other lovelies she sent me.

Love all of the gorgeous lace and embellishments she added.

Even the tea and chocolate was dressed up so lovely.

This afternoon I fixed me a cup of hot chocolate and a piece of pecan pie.  I do believe it tasted more delicious than usual.  Could it be because it was sitting on my mug rug? :)

I knew that Stephanie loved pink so I gave her a pair of pink mittens on her mug rug.

I threw in a few pink vintage goodies.

This exchange was so fun and I'm sending hugs to both Kimberly and Stephanie!

And as always,
hugs to you too!

Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

It was a joy to have both you and Stephanie participate in the Christmas mug rug exchange! You both did a super job and your gifts were so reflective of each of your personalities I think.
Thanks you to two sweet ladies! Kimberly

Of the two, I choose your mitten creation.
I have that flower patterned dessert plates from my mother but I didn't know there were bowls (or maybe its a cup). The search is on.

How fun! Both of those mug rugs are too pretty to use! I'd be afraid of spilling on them. I just received a heart ornament that I bought from Stephanie's Etsy shop and it is so pretty! All the extra goodies were like yours...all lacy and pretty and sweet. I love her things. I love your pink mittens...did you quilt that?! You girls are all too talented next to me!
