Officially Fall Home Tour

Hello my friends,
today is officially the first day of fall.

Although, I started decorating for fall the first part of September,
I decided that I would share it with you before it all goes away.  :)

Yes, next weekend I will be switching over to Halloween.  I'm so excited, because last year we were in the process of getting new hardwood floors, so I didn't decorate for Halloween.
I missed my cute little spooks!

Welcome to our home!

The minute you walk into our home you will be greeted by fall.

I've filled the large chippy cabinet with lots of fall smalls and pumpkins.  The top echoes a fall garden and I draped my book page pumpkin banner across the front.

A thrift find honeycomb pumpkin sits on a plaid tin pail that I brought home from a trip to Oregon a few years ago.  Underneath is a stack of fall quilts that I have made over the years.

A stack of three of my plaid picnic tins sits on a small round table at the base of our stairway.

In the living room Sunflower Sue is waiting to greet you!
I don't know who she loves more. . .you or her bunny.  (wink)

I kept the mantle fairly simple with mostly black, white, and orange.

A couple of plump pumpkins are propped against a vintage corbel that I found while vacationing in Charleston a couple years ago.

I recently sanded the living room floor that I stained white a few months ago.  Love it so much more!!  Still on the look out for a larger rug.

Let's step into the family room.  A pumpkin runner tops the coffee table.  Look closely underneath the pegboard and you'll spy my cute leaf folding tray.

I love old books and often buy them for their color.  These two Readers Digest shouted fall to me!

I love a touch of aqua for fall!

I'm having a lot of fun styling my new farmhouse sofa table.

I recently found the owl glasses at our local thrift.  Only three, but too cute to leave behind!

All of the fruit themed dishes and the crate were thrift finds as well.  I just bought the crow at a boutique for $4.

I've added small pumpkins here and there throughout.

The kitchen table is decked out in a wheat theme.  I have picked up wheat dishes here and there for quite a few years.

More fall themed dishes.

It's hard to get a good picture of my kitchen windowsill, but I love this giant gourd.

The vintage pretzel jar holds a great fall snack.

The tiered tray is always filled with seasonal trinkets.

Our bedroom gets a touch of fall as well.

Wool pumpkins and stars.

How about you, do you decorate for fall?

hugs,

If it's officially Fall up there......then that must mean that it is officially Spring down here...YAY!! =) Jann, you never cease to amaze me with your decorating. Such a pity I cannot knock on your door, kick off my shoes, sit on one of your sofas and just drink everything in. I do believe there is no-one quite like you and your inimitable style. Everything, just everything is fabulous!!

Since it is officially Fall I guess I have to step up my decorating! I have a few things around. I love your sweet touches all over your home and I know I will love your Halloween decorating. I was at a great Festival yesterday and there was a girl there that made the cutest Halloween things! I thought of you because they looked like something you and your craft group would make. She is on Instagram if you want to check it out @rintinvintage

Wow, Jann, that's a harvest of fall goodies you have there! I am like a moth to flame when it comes to textiles, so your quilts at the entry (and your cozy bed) immediately catch my attention. Of course, I love dishes, and I spied brown transferware. The 3 owl glasses fit perfectly in the tray! It's all so nice, and your white floor looks great the way you sanded it. Happy Fall!

Hi Jann, you really have an impressive fall collection of pretties. I especially love each and every one of your quilts. Perfect colors for fall. I'm doing some fall in with Halloween now, but will go into harvest mode after Halloween and then after Thanksgiving it will be on to Christmas. Seems too soon but the time really does go by too quickly..Happy Monday..xxoJudy

Oh Jann, it's so cozy and warm and comfy. I love all the cute touches and really appreciate your vintage feel. Those soft neutrals get just the right burst of color too. I'm out of time to make a banner before we leave but I love yours!

Such a pretty tour. You have a great collection of fall pieces.

I also spied an amazing collection on your plate rail. Wow, so beautiful and I am a big fan of red transferware.

I'm not a Halloween fan. Don't know why but never have been, weird.

Your floor still amazes me.

Enjoy the rest of your week.

Goodness Jann, so much lovely vintage and interesting eye candy! I'm afraid I'd be a terrible visitor because instead of sitting to chat, I'd be walking around looking at every lovely vignette.
