Can you believe that it is December? Snuck right up on me. :)
Although Christmas is a ways away, I am busy decking our home in holiday cheer.
Today I am sharing a simple winter welcome.

A couple years ago I bought a brown wicker hanging basket at a damaged goods store. I loved it, but wanted it to be a bit brighter. I gave it a rustic coat of white chalk paint. I didn't want it solid, so I let some of the brown shine through.
For spring I filled it with lots of pastel colored flowers. I loved it, but it was time for a change.
I had everything on hand and didn't have to dish out any money for this project. That's the best!!
It's a warm winter welcome and works for Christmas as well.

Such a cute door basket! I have one shaped like a cone but I hung it in my lower level with dried hydrangeas in it....which I love!
