Cucumber Salad. . .My Favorite Summer Salad

Hello my friends,
a few years ago I got this recipe from one of my
sweet friends, Susan.

I loved it and have been making it ever since!

About a month ago I showed it in my Memory Dinner post.  Quite a few of you mentioned that you would like the recipe.

I waited until I made it again, so that I could snap a few photos.  :)

This is such a great recipe because I usually have everything needed to make it.
Although I didn't plant cucumbers this year, but thankfully my cousin, Betty is generous and always has some to share!

Gather your ingredients and you'll whip this salad up in a
matter of minutes.

A bit of slicing cucumbers, tomatoes, and onions.

The dressing calls for a few simple ingredients.  Notice my cute vintage sugar canister?  I found it at a thrift shop.  I love the little cart image on the front!

Whisk the dressing together, pour over salad and chill.

Easy Peasy!!

Cucumber Salad
3 medium cucumbers, sliced
3 medium tomatoes, cut into wedges
1 medium onion (walla walla)
1/2 c. cider vinegar
1/4 c. olive oil
1/4 c. sugar
1/4 c. water
2 tsp. salt
1 tsp. pepper
2 sprigs of dill (opt., but it make it so yummy)

Enjoy!

Summer is fleeting by and it won't be long till that garden bounty will be a thing of the past.

We get cucumbers from a lady at church from her garden and with tomatoes from my garden I'm in business! Thank you for the recipe.

One of our favorites, too; except we substitute raw zucchini for the cucumbers! Enjoying the September garden bounty!!

This is one of my favorite salads too. I love fresh cucumbers out of the garden for a rich flavor in this salad. Yummy. Now I think I will make one for tomorrow. This looks soooo good.
Have a good week.

That's just about how I make my cucumber salad, too, Jann! I could eat it everyday. I think I need to try some dill in mine, though...yum!

I adore cucumber salad (cukes are possibly my fave veggie!) and I make it often but with no recipe. I might just have to copy this one down so I can get consistent!

I love this salad! I HAVE to have the dill in it, though. :) Tomatoes and cucumbers and dill are one of my favorite combinations ever.
