Welcome Home Tea. . .

Hello my friends, earlier today I had a 'Welcome Home' tea.
Yup,
a welcome home tea for just little ole me!

Vacationing in New England was a real blast, but as always it's so nice to be home at last!

Touring Salem was bewitching fun!
Even a bit scary, that almost made me want to run.

As I hustled and bustled about today, my kitchen table seemed to say, "welcome home" whenever I looked it's way!

The sparkling tinsel on the chandy brought me delight each time I caught a glimpse of it in my sight.

My kitchen table whispered this way,

There's laundry to do and lawns you must mow, but
sit down have a sip; move a little slow!

In less than 13 days, Halloween will be here.
Have a sip of tea, enjoy a bit of cheer!

The quilt has been spread,

and the tarnished tea set is on the table.
(my $5 thrift find)

Please sit down for a sip, take a moment if you're able!

Take time, enjoy your pretty dishes.
Read your witches guide book.
It can fulfill all of your wishes!

Dear table, no more begging; I agree;  I will slow down, relax.

Enjoy a sip of tea!

There's no place like home, no matter where we roam!

Thanks for the 'welcome home' tea just for little ole me!

(every now and then the kid in me needs to write a silly poem.  And in case you're wondering; I still managed to get the laundry done and the lawns mowed) :)

hugs,
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

Love the poetry, how fun! The witches book and quilt are super cute, did you make them? I'm glad you had fun in Salem, what an interesting place.

What a cute Halloween tea, Salem did get you in the mood didn't it? :) I'm all about vignettes and yours are great and the photos are too! I like the unexpected orange surprise in the last photo, very cool. And the candle tapers in those plated holders.
Have a wonderful day,
Gina

Fun, fun, fun! You were very inspired by your time in Salem I see! You deserved a tea party for all that you got done, even if you had the party first!

What a FUN FUN FUN post. WHERE did you find that Haunted House of 7 Gables picture? I love it!
Your tea looks lovely and yes, we all need to slow down a bit and enjoy the moment. Something I have a hard time doing! xo Diana

There's definitely no place like home! Your Halloween decor and poem made me smile. When I visited Salem years ago, we went on a ghost tour. Luckily, we didn't have any supernatural encounters.

Too much fun...love the tarnished tea set...life is too short to spend time polishing silver, lol.

Just the right amount of glitz...since I am not allowed to do 'scarey' by the grandbaby....this is really fun and 'safe'(?)...maybe, lol.

Thanks for the teaparty! Sandi

I just adored the poem! But there's something so warm and happy and cozy about your house that even without the great Halloween decorations it would still say "welcome home!" Loved it!

Fun! Yes I agree it's good to go away, and great to be back home - once the laundry is done! I am glad you indulge your inner poet and share. It is a lost art. Your table is drool-worthy. Adore it. Congrats on getting the mowing and laundry done - that's a full day in my book. Cheers.
