Kindred Spirits

Hello my friends,

Some of you may know that my two favorite numbers are
7 and 17.  It might have something to do with the fact that it is my
 birth date.  :)

I automatically have an immediate connection with anyone who loves either of these numbers.

It just so happens that one of these #17 loving people is Paula from

The more I got to know Paula, the more I realized that we are 'kindred spirits'.

Not only do we love the #17, but we both love red and white, polka dots, and much much more!

Last week she had an open house where we got to tour her newly created attic bedroom.

Want to step inside?

Let's see what lies behind that wonderful chippy door sporting the red #17.

Another wonderful old door leading into the closet.

Lots of red deliciousness!

(the S&P shakers are a fun tribute to her and her husbands initials)

Not only were there wonderful red and white furniture pieces, but also her wall décor and vignettes.

Both her and her husband attended University of Utah and
 so did her father.

University of Utah is known as the Utes.

How unique is this light?

Some of her #17 collection.

I love this circus display!

Her friend, Wendy made the fabulous doll on the circus tin.

Now let's step into the bath.

Guess who made that cute grain sack stool?  That would be me, lol!  She bought it from me at 'Fleology'.  Paula is the one who hosts that vintage sale.

Valentines Day may be over, but you can see that there's a whole lot of red and white love going on in Paula's new master suite!

Hope you enjoyed the tour of one of my 'kindred spirits'!

hugs,
Jann

I will be sharing with these lovely parties:

Love it, love it. So she lives in the old Dixon home on the corner in Payson? Next to the other Dixon home. I am very familiar with the house. I have been in both of them many many years ago. This attic room is beautiful. Thanks for sharing. Karie @ karie's chic creations.

The red and white everywhere is stunning! I love the doors and the "IN" on the doorknob. What a unique and fun place to be. Number 3 and 7 are my favorites. Did you know that 7 is the number of completeness in the Bible?

My middle daughter has two children, Livvie born on 3/7 and Ben born on 2/17...7 and 17. Today was their combined birthday party so I have been thinking a lot about 7 and 17 today and then I saw your post about those numbers. Spooky. Maybe we are all kindred spirits.

I love the red and white, her home looks so inviting!

I'm another 7 and 17 lover - my birthday is Feb 7, and 17 has appeared at the oddest times in my life since an old boyfriend mentioned it was his favorite number (back in the early 80's). It's become a game for us to mention how often 17 occurs (most recently, it was my order number at Whataburger, lol).

Oh my gosh, I love everything about this! The doors, the red touches, the numbers. But S&P takes the cake for me! My husband and I are S&P also. :)

Thank you for sharing this adorableness at Thoughts of Home on Thursday. Love it!
